Soak the clothing item with enough water to submerge completely. Then pour about 1/2 cup of salt and let it sit for about an hour. After the hour wash the item as normal (washing machine or by hand) and dry.

If the stain is much tougher use hydrogen peroxide. Similar to salt pour enough water to submerge the item and add 1/2 of hydrogen peroxide and let it sit for 30 minutes or so. Hydrogen peroxide works well with odor removal and maintaining your white clothing bright.

Do not confuse club soda with baking soda. Yes, baking soda is amazing with removal of smells. However, club soda has the lifting power to remove wine stains.

For a beverage stain (wine stain) begin with boiling water. It is recommended to hold the item above a sink and carefully pour the boiling water above the stain. Rinse the area with club soda and blot the stain until it is gone.
